Smoothies in the summer are pretty much a non-negotiable, am I right? We all have that go-to smoothie recipe we that tend to fall back on (mine is this Peaches & Cream Protein Smoothie). It’s one that’s tried and true, easy, quick, and you can always have the ingredients on hand.

Well, I’ve got another one to add to your list…

3-Ingredient Cantaloupe Smoothie

Cantaloupe is something that most of us always have in our fridge during the summer, but I bet most of us don’t usually think to use it in a smoothie, right? We’re about to change that.

Cantaloupe is PERFECT for smoothies because it’s sweet, creamy, and actually pretty versatile. I kept it super simple today with just 3 ingredients, but you really can get creative and add in whatever you want.

Ideas for smoothie add-ins

  • your favorite protein powder
  • peanut butter (or any nut/seed butter)
  • hemp seeds
  • flax seeds
  • chia seeds
  • collagen
  • different types of fruit
  • greens (like spinach or kale)
  • frozen cauliflower (you can’t taste it!)

and the list goes on!

Make it a meal!

This 3-ingredient version is meant to just be a nice refreshing light snack, but if you are wanting to drink it for a meal, or just want it to be more substantial, then definitely add in extra protein and healthy fats to help keep you full.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups cantaloupe , cubed
  • 1/2-3/4 cup canned coconut milk
  • 2 tsp honey
  • handful of ice

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
