[Food For Beauty] Avocado Oat Face Mask

Avocado Oat Face MaskI love doing face masks at home, they are so easy to make with the ingredients that you have right in your fridge, and it is just a little treat to make yourself feel like you are at the spa.

This one includes avocados + oatmeal + honey. That’s it! These three ingredients have an amazing amount of benefits for your skin. Not only do they provide nutrients when you eat them, but they also provide nutrients when you apply them to your skin.

The avocado is loaded with vitamin E and healthy fats that will make your skin feel super smooth. Honey has antibacterial/antimicrobial properties, so it will deep clean your pores as well as moisturize the skin. And then the oats will act as an exfoliant, and have also been know to calm inflamed skin. So with all of these foods working together, your skin will look and feel amazing when you’re done.

Avocado Oat Face Mask

What you need –>
1/2 avocado
2 tbsp whole oats (I used GF)
1 tbsp raw honey

How-to –>
In a bowl, mash all of the ingredients together with a fork and stir to combine. Use your fingers or a clean flat make-up brush to apply the mixture all over your face, avoiding the eye area. Let the mask sit on your face for 15-30 minutes. Rinse with warm water and a gentle towel.
