Why You’ll Love This Smoothie

This delicious berry smoothie is simple, full of nutrients, and will keep you full for hours. I always keep frozen berries in my freezer for quick and easy breakfasts and post-workout snacks.

Matcha has tons of antioxidants, is anti-inflammatory, and provides the body with good clean energy with no crash later on. And don’t be scared of the cauliflower in your smoothies, I promise you can’t taste it, it is just a way to sneak in some extra veggies, AND it makes the smoothie extra thick and creamy. The key to putting cauliflower in your smoothies is to either buy it pre-frozen, or to chop up a head of cauliflower and steam it before putting it in a bag to freeze it.

Ingredients for Mixed Berry Protein Smoothie

  • Frozen mixed berries – I used a store-bought mix of strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries.
  • Frozen cauliflower – You can buy this premade for you! You can do either the cauliflower rice version, or the frozen florets. This adds so much thick creaminess without the taste of cauliflower.
  • Non-dairy milk – I used unsweetened almond milk
  • Vanilla protein powder – I have several favorites that I rotate in my smoothies. You can see my complete guide to gluten-free protein powders here!
  • Matcha green tea powder – I like to use ceremonial grade matcha because it tastes better and has more health benefits.
