TWK turns 3 years old today! Happy birthday to my first child, the cutest baby I ever had (so far).
I can’t believe I’ve been posting all of my random ramblings and recipes on this site for three years now. And most of all I can’t believe you guys have stuck around and kept on reading, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.
This blog started because I had been diagnosed with food allergies, and I had the idea that I could maybe help others with the same issues. I thought it would be fun to start a site where I could share all of the recipes that I had learned and created (really just expecting my husband and mom to read it), never did I imagine that it would turn out to be what it is now.
It has grown to be a space that is so much bigger than me, and I love that. I am on a mission to advocate health, wellness, and delicious gluten-free food. I will never forget the first time I received an email from a reader saying that his grandson had a gluten allergy and had never had pancakes until he made my oat pancakes. It absolutely made my day, and reminded me why I started this blog. It is still my favorite thing to receive comments and emails from you guys saying that my recipes have helped you. You guys are the best, and this site would not be where it is now without your feedback, comments, tweets, and pins.
And because I love you guys so much, we are celebrating with donuts today! Strawberry birthday cake donuts, WITH SPRINKLES. Yessss.
I think these are the donuts of my dreams, they are cakey, soft, slightly sweet, baked to perfection, have chunks of strawberry in them, and dunked in a strawberry glaze. Oh, and the sprinkles, we have to have sprinkles on a birthday. Am I right?
I can’t wait for you guys to make these, your friends will be impressed. If you want to share, that is. Because I wouldn’t judge you if you kept them all to yourself.
