In reply to <a href="https://www.thewheatlesskitchen.com/gluten-free-travel-cabo-san-lucas/#comment-60520">ashley</a>.

Well, we lucked out and most of the time the waiters or managers spoke english pretty well, so they could understand what I was asking. But just to be safe, I brought along gluten free travel cards (they come in different languages), just in case I came across someone that spoke no english. We did eat a lot of our meals at the all-inclusive resort we were staying at, so that was helpful. But when we went into town to go to a restaurant, I usually ate tacos with corn tortillas, and even seafood several times. The seafood dishes were normally a safe choice because they came with some type of rice and vegetables.

Here is the link to a blog post I did about those celiac travel cards :) I hope this helped! Let me know if you have any more questions. https://www.thewheatlesskitchen.com/gf-tip-weekceliac-travel-card/

I agree! Especially when eating at local eateries, how did you explain your disease to the locals to ensure that you were understood? What were some of the foods that were generally always gluten free everywhere you went? I'd rather not live on chips and salsa for a week!

This is a great article and I'm glad you had an amazing trip, but please, help a guy out.

How did you ensure that your meals were all gluten free? I see your food pictures but it would be extremely helpful to other celiacs if you explained exactly how you communicated your dietary restrictions to restaurants and staff, where you ate, what you ate, etc.

More specifics or helpful tips for others traveling to Cabo San Lucas would be very much appreciated.

Thank you so much, looking forward to hearing more!
