5 from 1 vote

Ingredients

  • 16 oz whole cranberries
  • cup honey (or maple syrup)
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • zest from 1 orange
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Combine all of the ingredients in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Give it a stir to evenly combine, then let the mixture come to a low boil.
  • Once boiling, turn the heat down to low, cover with a lid, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  • Use a wooden spoon to stir every few minutes to prevent the honey from burning.
  • The cranberries will start to burst, and the sauce will thicken as it simmers.
  • Remove from the heat, and transfer to a bowl. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
