One of the things that the Lord has been showing me, and you said it, about not hiding from the pain, is to walk through the pain not ignoring it, feeling it; giving credence to it and then our lives become this living testimony! And I think there is great power and healing in feeling all of it! My preference has always been to hide from it.

Second, I pray for you and Kenny and Stand with you as a mother in “the club”. It’s certainly not an easy task in this life, it will test your faith and your strength. Pain and sadness can appear like a tiny drip and build and sometimes it rushes in like an untamed waterfall. But you are right, IT’S OKAY…..God is always near…. on the good days AND the bad! We lost our sweet baby boy Matthew when he was just 13 days old. On Feb. 5, he will celebrate his 34th Heavenly Birthday. I cannot tell you how many things changed in my life since that day. God has been SOOOO GOOD to me and my husband! He has so many blessings and lessons for you to learn and share with this world. Your new normal will not be what you were planning on but He will make your devotion and faithfulness so worth it! I read this in one of my recent devotionals, and I hope it touches your heart like it did mine. Jesus says, “You give Me thanks (regardless of your feelings) and I give you joy (regardless of circumstances I pray you will give Him thanks as He returns the favor in joy!!
