Ya’ll, it’s finally here! It’s official, I’m so excited to launch the new design and branding! I’ve been working on this for quite a long time, so I can’t believe it’s finally happening.
New Features —>
Logo – As you can see, we have a beautiful new logo that I love OH SO much. One of my favorite people, (Kenny’s best friend) Jared designed the new logo for me, and he did such a wonderful job. He is ridiculously talented, and also helped me along the way with some of the design elements. Ravi, another genius tech savvy friend of mine has been a huge help when it came to design elements also, I could NOT have done this without both of those guys.
Site Design – The actual process for the site design is a frustrating and kind of hilarious story. I started out with one theme, and then, after LOTS of frustration, research and headaches, I finally realized that I just couldn’t make that theme work for what I was envisioning for my site. So I did what I should have done in the first place, and I used the Foodie theme. Foodie provides everything that I need, and I couldn’t be happier with it. It is a beautiful, clean design that is responsive and has great technical support and tutorials for setup. Shay Bocks, you knocked it out of the park with this one! You will also notice a few new photos, on the recipes page, as well as my about page and healing story. The amazingly talented, Joshua Ratliff, shot these with me in an editorial style photoshoot a few months ago. We could not be happier with how they turned out.
New Pages – We now have informative pages that will show you how to build a gluten-free, whole foods centered pantry. Gluten-free staples looks into each component of a pantry, from grains, nuts/seeds, plant-based protein and superfoods. Gluten-free grains 101 goes into the nutritional benefits of each of the gluten- free grains that you have in your pantry, as well as recipe ideas for each! I even included a page all about my favorite gluten-free products that I have found over the past couple of years.
Lifestyle – We are going to be starting a Food for Beauty (coming soon) series all about natural beauty and DIY beauty recipes. We also have a travel section all about our trips and how to travel gluten-free. You can check out the Fitness + Wellness page for workout ideas and posts on overall wellness.
We are still working out a few kinks and will most likely be adding a few things in the coming months, so please let me know if you come across any issues, and let me know what you think about the blog’s new facelift!
