Friendsgiving Girls’ Night

A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to host the most fun Friendsgiving EVER.

I never turn down a girls’ night, especially with a bunch of fun college girls! So when my friend Amy (the college minister’s wife at my church) asked me if I would be willing to be a part of a girls’ night full of cooking demos and healthy eating tips, I jumped at the chance. When they nailed down the date to be in November, we knew that we had to make Thanksgiving recipes, of course.

Friendsgiving Girls' NightAmy and I sat down and came up with the menu and general plan for the night, and we ended up picking a bunch of recipes that are already here on the blog.

Friendsgiving Menu

Healthier Pumpkin Spice Latte (dairy-free)
Salted Candied Walnuts

Simple Roasted Chicken

I demonstrated how to make each recipe, with help from the girls, and everything turned out perfect! My main goal was to show them that healthy food doesn’t have to be complicated. We sent all of them home with recipe cards so that they could easily make each dish themselves.

We had nearly 30 people there, so the huge amount of food I made didn’t last long. Having this many people in my kitchen made my heart want to jump right out of my chest.

We love to entertain and to show God’s love to others, so having this kind of event over at our house was exactly what we always envisioned. I absolutely loved having all of these sweet girls in our house, and I can’t wait to do it again.
