You guys know that foodies and wellness junkies love a good trendy product or workout. I thought it would be fun to talk about a few things that already are, or that I think will become trendy throughout 2017. You guys probably know about a few of these wellness trends, but some may be a little new to you. Here’s to 2017!
Health & Wellness Trends
Medicinal Mushrooms – Four Sigmatic is a company that I worked with a while back, and I LOVE their mushroom elixirs. Medicinal mushrooms have so many health benefits, and more people are starting to try them. This is going to become even more of a thing in the coming year.
Athleisure/Workleisure – I love the athleisure trend that has taken off this past year, and Betabrand is even coming out with yoga pants that look like dress pants. Perfect for a lunch time yoga class! Go check out their dress pant yoga pants, and they have lots of other pants options too!
Clean Makeup & Skin Care – Companies like Honest Beauty, Physicians Formula, Alima, and Juice Beauty have stepped up their game and are coming out with amazing makeup and skin care products. What we put on our skin is so important, because so much of it is absorbed into the bloodstream. I have swapped pretty much all of my products over to more natural versions, and I could never go back.
Collagen Peptides – Collagen is SO great for your skin, nails, hair, and joints. Not to mention it is great for the gut too! Vital Proteins is my favorite brand, and I put a scoop into my coffee every day. Since starting to take collagen powder, I have noticed a difference in my skin, my hair is growing so much faster, and my knee (that I have had two surgeries on) feels so much better.
Balance (no restrictive diets) – I’ve started to notice a really great shift towards balance and listening to your body throughout the media (mainly social media). I love this, we need to listen to what our bodies are telling us and not be so restrictive with our diets, or any part of our lives for that matter. Throw away the scale, move your body every day, and eat real food. Here’s to a healthy and balanced 2017!
