1-Year Blogiversary

You guys, it’s been a year. Happy birthday TWK!

It was one year ago today that The Wheatless Kitchen began. It has gone from being my hobby, to my passion, to my baby. The cutest little baby in all the land, but I might be a little biased.

I remember the first time I told Kenny that I wanted to start a food blog. We were stuffing our faces with chips and salsa at a mexican food restaurant, and I told him about my crazy idea. He looked at me like I had three heads, but then was immediately supportive. He has been my biggest cheerleader and support system throughout this past year, and I couldn’t be more grateful to him. After all, he is the one that came up with the name of the site.

I’ve always loved food blogs and have followed them for years. One day I just decided that I wanted to do that too. I wanted to make a difference, use my voice, and help other people that have, at some point, been completely overwhelmed by their food allergies. I wanted to show them that it doesn’t have to be difficult to thrive on a healthy, whole, gluten-free diet.

I’ve learned so much along the way and am so thankful to you, my readers, for being so supportive!  My absolute favorite part about this whole endeavor has been getting to connect with you guys. I still get so excited every time my little ‘comment’ alert pops up, or hear from family, friends or even strangers that they are tuning in to the blog. Seriously, I love it. Let’s be friends 🙂

Thank you so much for reading — I couldn’t do it without your support! I have big plans, hopes and dreams for this little blog, and can’t wait to see what God has planned for my future as a blogger.

If this next year is anything like my first year, I know it will be a friggin’ blast!
